Huw Edwards was one of BBC's main News presenters.
On 31 July 2024 Edwards pleaded guilty at Westminster Magistrates' Court to making indecent images of children.
On 16 September 2024, Senior District Judge Paul Goldspring (Chief Magistrate) for England and Wales sentenced him to a six month prison sentence suspended for two years and he was also placed on the Sex Offenders register.
